GET TO KNOW ME!
I’m Emilse Rios, an artist, fully focused on music. My professional development as a double bass player began at the José Luis Paz Music Conservatory in Maracaibo Venezuela in 2006 with Maestro Maciej Zlotkowski. At the same time, I studied Sociology at “La Universidad del Zulia”.
Although my passion is music, being a Sociologist gave me a parallel vision and
sensitivity, which match with one of the primary objectives of the institution where I became a musician, the National System of Orchestras of Venezuela >> “Recognize music as an opportunity for personal development in the intellectual, spiritual, social and professional ”.
Since 2009 I became part of the “Latin American Academy of Double Bass”
(Caracas-Venezuela) under the tutelage of Maestro Felix Petit, where I participated
in many recitals as soloist and Master Classes with Maestros like Klauss Stoll (Berlin Philharmonic), Edicson Ruiz (Berlin Philharmonic) among others.
As a teacher I’ve been part of the staff of the Latin American Academy of Double Bass and the Simón Bolívar Music Conservatory, also participated in the formation of the double bass section of many youth orchestras belonging to
“El Sistema” (Sistema Nacional de Orquestas y Coros Juveniles e Infantiles de Venezuela) and “Música para la Equidad”
(Program of Youth Orchestras of Buenos Aires).
