My learning process was unusual: I studied music and sociology at the same time and started my musical training at an age considered “late” by academic standards. That’s why today, I can tell you with certainty that there is no single path to learning a musical instrument.
The truth is, it doesn’t matter what age you start, whether you divide your
time between different activities, or whether you can’t dedicate yourself
exclusively to the double bass. I’ve proven that it’s possible to achieve
your goals with a flexible method, adapted to your pace and lifestyle.
Being trained in an environment that valued music as a tool for personal and intellectual growth gave me a unique and open vision of teaching, creating an inclusive and flexible approach that adapts to the needs and goals of each student.
I began my musical training at the José Luis Paz Music Conservatory in Maracaibo, Venezuela, while completing my Sociology studies at the University
of Zulia. Later, I moved to Caracas to continue my studies at the Latin American Double Bass Academy under the tutelage of Maestro Félix Petit and, in parallel, began playing with various orchestras of Venezuela’s National
System of Orchestras.
I have worked in renowned institutions such as the Latin American Double Bass Academy, the Simón Bolívar Music Conservatory, the Orchestra of Professors at the Catholic University of Argentina (UCA), and educational programs for youth orchestras such as “El Sistema” in Venezuela and “Música para la Equidad” in Buenos Aires, among others. For ten years I worked as a teacher and coach in
children’s and youth orchestras, so today I specialize in preparation for youth orchestras.
Throughout my career, I have participated in various symphony orchestras such as: Maracaibo Symphony Orchestra (2007-2009), The Orchestra of the Americas
(2008), Caracas Youth Orchestra (2010-2013), Simón Bolívar Baroque Orchestra
(2015-2016), Florencio Varela Municipal Orchestra (2017-2019).
I have received invitations to play in various double bass sections, including: Teatro Colón Philharmonic (2017), Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra (2010-2015).
Particularly with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, I participated in international tours that included stages such as: Lucerne Festival (2010) under the baton of Claudio Abbado, BBC Proms London (2010), Mahler Festival at Walt Disney Hall, Los Angeles (2012), Salzburg Festival (2013), and Tchaikovsky Festival at Walt Disney Hall, Los Angeles (2014) with Gustavo Dudamel.
I have performed concerts in major halls such as: Festival Hall in London, Henry Le Boeuf Hall at the Palace of Fine Arts in Brussels, Die Alte Oper in Frankfurt, El Palau de la Música in Barcelona, and La Philharmonie de Paris.
Later, in 2018, I obtained a position as double bassist and teacher in the Orchestra of Professors at the Catholic University of Argentina (UCA).
Subsequently, in 2020 I was appointed Assistant Principal in the Avellaneda Municipal Symphony Orchestra in Buenos Aires and, in 2023, I became part of the Buenos Aires City Symphonic Band.
Finally, in 2025 I decided to move to Madrid to dedicate myself completely to independent projects.
