About Course

I’ve designed a method to help you advance quickly through the fingerboard until you reach thumb position with confidence, without spending years on method books. Through progressive exercises in PDF, works from the classical repertoire (Marcello, Mahler, Handel), and professional piano accompaniment, you’ll work on intonation, rhythm, and musicality at each stage.

Includes the complete course “All the Scales (Without Getting Bored)”: 24 major and minor scales in 2 octaves with professional piano accompaniment ($97 value).

Upon completion, you’ll have a one-on-one online class with me (1 hour, $80 value) to answer your questions and guide you in your next steps: expanding your repertoire or preparing auditions with confidence.

You'll tune the double bass without a tuner using harmonics as a reference. This will be your starting position to navigate the entire fingerboard.
We'll approach thumb position without fear. I'll teach you how to place your hand (flat wrist, curved fingers) so you're strong from the start, without tension or pain.
Let's cover the entire fingerboard in weeks, not years. Progressive exercises designed to help you locate notes quickly, without memorizing endless fingering charts.
We're going to have fun with musicality. From the beginning, we'll work with pieces for double bass with piano accompaniment.
